At The Producer’s Toolbox, The Road To Mastery is the guiding vision for the creation of a set of tools and skills that teaches and facilitates the art of sales. Excelling at sales and relationship is a life journey, one that I have been on in earnest since 1980. Mastery is a work in progress. Whether you’ve been in the sales profession for weeks, months, or years, there is always more to learn, to fine-tune, perhaps to discard, and much to share. The mission of The Producer’s Toolbox is to provide you with the necessary tools to master the ongoing art of sales & relationship. The legacy of the sales profession has, to some degree, been built on tricks, slight of hand, manipulation, and brute force. Today, our customers and prospects are more knowledgeable, much wiser, and more demanding of integrity, honesty, and sensitivity. They are forcing a dramatic and positive change in what we know and how we present ourselves to those we serve. We are being asked to stretch, to grow. Doing so requires that we improve ourselves, our communication skills, and most important, sharpen our focus and attention on the prospect or client. A much more comprehensive understanding of relationship will define the 21st Century sales person.
